About the teacher/director (Shyam Rudra Pathak)

Sir at a talk about IIT JEE in 2002.
I got primary education in my village Bathnaha, district Sitamarhi, Bihar, and for a brief period at a school in Sursand, where my father was working as a teacher at that time. I went to Netarhat Vidyalaya in 1974 batch. I passed matriculation in 1979 (obtained silver medal from Bihar Board). In 1980, I passed IIT-JEE in the first attempt and joined IIT Delhi. I did five years integrated M.S. Physics course from IITD. I was all India topper of GATE 1985 with a percentile score of 99.89. I did M.Tech. in Energy Studies from IITD with a CGPA of 9.25 on a 10 point scale. I passed CSIR fellowship test. I received research scholarship at IITD. I was also the topper of TIFR selection test for research scholars in 1991. I was also the topper of the written test of NCRA-IUCAA research scholars’ selection test in 1993.

The attitude with which I teach and advise the students is the following:
“Enjoy the richness of knowledge;
Success in examination is its natural outcome.”
